DIY Miniature Christmas tree baubles and ornaments for dollhouse - drop

Transparent drop-shaped ornaments are an original decoration for your miniature Christmas tree or seasonal diarama.

Ornaments are sold as DIY kit to colour yourself. I’m offering caps / hooks so you can hang them;

Transparent, water soluble resin
N.B. it can't get wet and can't be heated.
Please, store it in a dry place protected from direct sunlight and heat.
 

HOW TO ASSEMBLE AND COLOR YOUR DECORATIONS
 

1. You will need to drill a hole in the toy using a hand drill or mini power tool. It's easy, because the material is pretty soft. The recommended drill bit size is 0.3/0.4/0.5 mm.
2. You can use any paint other than watercolor paints for colloring. I recommend transparent acrylic paints like for stained glass. Or UV resin with pigments. Also to highlight the volume you can use metallic markers or finely dispersed powders, as for Fimo clay or for nail decoration.
3. Check the hole in the middle of the cap with a sharp tool. Bend the legs of the hat. Thread the loop into the cap. Then fit the whole attachment with super glue into the toy. Use a minimal amount of glue on the foot of the loop before inserting it into the toy.
4. The product doesn't require any preparation before painting. You can immediately apply a colouring layer.
   You can use any paints except watercolours.
5. When the paint is dry - never rush! Give it 24 hours. Then use a glossy top coat in a spray. I use Mr. HOBBY but any analog will do. Choose varnishes marked UV protection. Apply the varnish in thin layers from a distance of 20-25 cm. 1 or 2 coats suffice, don't forget to dry it between.
